Foodbank of Santa Barbara County 

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County needs volunteers to help carry out its Disaster Feeding Plan during this pandemic. There are several duties and shifts available, including working at the call center and delivering food to community members in need.

Shifts: 

Food delivery —

  • Each morning from approximately 9:45 am to 12 pm. 

Call center —

  • 9 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday
  • 12 pm to 3 pm, Monday through Friday

Note: Times and days may vary.

Locations:

Food deliveries occur in Goleta, Santa Barbara, and Carpinteria. You will be provided details when you sign up.

How to Volunteer: 

To register for volunteer shifts, please contact the Foodbank directly: foodbanksbc.volunteerhub.com

Please register in advance of each shift. After you sign up, on the confirmation page you will find a link to a “Volunteer Pass” that you can print and keep in your car as you drive to and from shifts. These passes will also be available at your shift location. 

Safety: 

The Foodbank follows food-handling guidelines and enhanced workplace and volunteer guidelines during this pandemic. Volunteers for the Foodbank will be sworn in as “Disaster Service Workers” by Santa Barbara County; this designation provides extra protections.
